The Bonham offers comfortable, welcoming lounges and a beautiful bar perfect for enjoying cocktails, Afternoon Tea or a wee dram. Sit back, relax and soak up the impressive interiors of the original 19th century houses.

The hotel dates back to 1872 and original architectural features including wooden panelling, carved doorframes, cornicing and detailed stonework were painstakingly preserved and restored to their former glory during our recent refurbishment. Read more about the history of The Bonham.

Our stylish, modern restaurant, No.35 at The Bonham, offers an eclectic menu of European inspired food with a Scottish twist, using the best of local suppliers and ingredients. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, not forgetting our famous
Boozy Snoozy lunches – a treat our loyal guests come back for time and time again.

A leisurely 20 minute walk from The Bonham and you will be in Edinburgh’s Old Town, a labyrinth of cobbled streets, narrow alleyways and hidden courtyards, all amazingly well preserved and steeped in the city’s history. At its centre is the Royal Mile, a remarkable street of reformation-era tenement buildings leading from the seat of Edinburgh Castle down to the grandiose Palace of Holyroodhouse.
